Ms. Angela Prochnow

My name is Angela Prochnow and I am thrilled to be serving as the principal for Buena Vista Montessori School. At Buena Vista it is our vision to provide an academically, socially, emotionally, and culturally rich learning environment where all students learn to their full potential and become responsible, productive, and engaged community members. While we know there will be challenges, we are hopeful to get back to our Montessori structures and routines that make Buena Vista a truly amazing school community!Our vision is to free each child’s potential.  

We are a public Montessori school located on the west side of Colorado Springs just minutes from downtown, serving students age 3 through 6th grade.  

At Buena Vista, students explore their world using all five senses and master skills and concepts through the use of manipulatives.  They experience freedom within limits and a sense of order as they learn from each other in multi-age classrooms.  They apply their learning to the real-world through our interdisciplinary curriculum, and the uninterrupted work periods give them the opportunity to develop concentration and pursue their interests.

We value the whole child and support our learners in a joyful learning environment where independence, respect, and responsibility are encouraged.
